Getting Started

Follow these steps to get up and running with Thoth.

1. Login

Access your Thoth instance via the URL provided by your administrator (e.g., https://your-org.thoth-studio.com).

• Standard Login: Use your username and password.

• SSO Login: If configured, use Google, Microsoft, or your organization's OAuth provider.

2. Your First Template

1. Navigate to Templates in the sidebar.
2. Click Add.
3. Fill in the basic info (Name, Group).
4. In the Content area, enter a simple HTML snippet:

<p>Welcome to Thoth.</p>

1. Click Save. Thoth will automatically detect the name variable.
2. Click Publish to create a stable version.

3. Create a Simple Datasource

1. Navigate to Datasources.
2. Click Add and select SCRIPT.
3. Name it "Mock User" and assign it to your group.
4. In the Groovy Script area, enter:

return [name: "John Doe", email: "john@example.com"]

1. Click Test Connection. You should see the result.
2. Click Save and then Publish.

4. Combine them in a Renderer

1. Navigate to Renderers.
2. Click Add.
3. Select the Template you created in step 2.
4. Under Datasources, click Add and select the "Mock User" datasource. Assign it the alias user.
5. Under Template Mapping, find the name variable and map it to user.name.
6. Click Save.
7. Click the Render button to see your generated document!

5. Setup Printing (Optional)
